I admit it. Sometimes I take for granted how blessed we are as an organization to have such dedicated volunteers. It’s at this time of year, when we’re recruiting volunteers for our two May events (Waunakee triathlon on 5/3 and Spring Mud Run on 5/17), that I’m reminded of this incredible fact once again.
Fact: Tri 4 Schools would not exist without the help of hundreds of volunteers.
Did you know that each one of our events requires between 100-120 people? This number helps us keep our adult:child ratios low and makes our events safe and fun for the 500+ kids who rely on us. More so, their parents, grandparents, and guardians rely on us to keep their kids safe and informed throughout the day.
I can’t say it enough: I’m SO THANKFUL for everyone who comes out to volunteer at our events year in and year out, time and time again. I’m also thankful for the people who have helped out even once. That one time may have made the difference between a child having a good experience and a bad one. That one time may have helped turn a child’s life around. That one time may have planted the seed for a healthy lifestyle and healthier future.
As we gear up for another year, I hope you’ll consider joining us as a volunteer for one or more of our events.
