It’s Ironman week here in Madison…practically a holiday for the triathlon community.  We’re stoked to watch Ginna (Bib 110) and Dennis take on this incredible challenge, and remember to support them in their fundraising efforts.  You can support Ginna here.

Finally, we want to thank Ginna for her ambassadorship this year – she has raised a ton of awareness about our organization and our mission over the last nine months, and been involved in our events and programs, too!  We’re blessed and honored to have you as our Athlete of the Year – go get ’em on Sunday! #IMforT4S

Just a few days until Ironman Wisconsin…and I can’t wait to compete and represent Tri 4 Schools.  This year has been amazing training with an incredible group with Madison Multisport. The summer was full of long bike rides getting used to the “new” bike course and Barlow, track workouts to work on running form and speed, and various open water swims with questionable visibility at times.  Though I didn’t complete in many races this summer (though the Door County Half Ironman was great!), what I enjoyed most was being able to help with all the Tri 4 Schools triathlons this summer.  It was so fun to see both young athletes that I know, as well as parents out there to support.  The more I am involved with Tri 4 Schools- the more fun I have developing a great community.  The triathlon world is small, and through this journey I have been able to do a lot of “connect the dots” of various people around me.  I’m excited to compete in Ironman, I feel prepared and strong.  My goal is to go out there an just have fun, though I do have an internal goal in mind.  I can’t thank you all enough for your great support.  I hope that you can make it out to Ironman to cheer for me as well as the other athletes.  Look for me in the Tri 4 Schools gear, and my fans in their “g” shirts and pink flamingos! My fundraising has been going great, but there’s still time to help me reach my goal and donate to a great cause.
