If you’re familiar with our financial model, you likely know that we do our best to offset the costs of our events and programs so that 100% of our youth event entry fees go back to the schools of our participants. A big part of these costs are supported by our corporate partners. It costs over $50,000 each year to host our mud runs and tris, and we are so grateful to local businesses for their generous support.
With that in mind, I am dubbing today “Thankful Thursday” and giving a shout-out to some of our new partners this year who have signed on to help keep kids and schools healthy.
Meriter Unity Point and Physician’s Plus
Meriter joined us this year as a GOLD sponsor for our Exercise to Achievement program. As you’ve seen on their new commercials, billboards, and ads, they are really focusing on preventative health and wellness, which is a perfect fit with our mission. We are thrilled with their dedication to the health of kids in our community, and we look forward to partnering with them at our nine school sites this Spring.
Who doesn’t love the idea of a huge, indoor trampoline park? We’re so excited for the opening of Rockin’ Jump Madison, located near our friends at Meriter on the Novations Campus (off Rimrock Rd). Rockin’ Jump will be partnering with us on our series of events this year, so look for their booth at all of our events – sweet giveaways and jump coupons await you.
John Sheehy’s passion for cycling and children is a key reason why he joined our support team this year. He runs a third generation family business that has now grown into two additional businesses – quite the entrepreneur. John believes in the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and providing opportunities for all kids to be active, and we’re thankful for his support.
We switched to using First Business Bank in July of 2014, and our experience has been fantastic. While some banks treat non-profits as an afterthought, we’ve felt supported and encouraged at FBB, and our partners there are just as committed to our success as we are. They’re even working on getting volunteers out to our events!
Character. Community. Craftsmanship. These three words embody the mission of Findorff. As you can see on their website, they walk the walk when it comes to supporting the community. From financial support to volunteer efforts, we’re extremely grateful that the Findorff team is on board with us this year!
