Hey everyone,

You heard it right! Tri4Schools’ last event of the 2012 season is less than 2 weeks away. We’re now in our final stages of preparation: assigning volunteer duties, gathering raffle prizes, and assembling goody bags. Today, I drove around Madison and Middleton picking up items from our sponsors for the goody bags–massage coupons, glowsticks, bookmarks – there’s some great stuff in there!

Bright and early on race day (Saturday, August 4th), we’ll be heading out to Middleton’s Bauman Aquatic Center to set up the course. Unlike Waunakee, the swimming portion of this triathlon will take place in an outdoor pool (be sure to bring your sunscreen!) Following the swim, our fabulous athletes will bike through the neighboring streets (closed to traffic) and will finish with the run through the Middleton High School campus. It’s going to be a beautiful and exciting day!

Remember these glowing faces from last year?

I’m looking so forward to seeing both returning athletes and fresh new faces at the event! This summer with Tri4Schools sure seems to have gone fast, but this race to the finish line has been the most exhilarating part. Can’t wait to see you all in Middleton!

And if you havent already, sign up to volunteer!
