We have all heard of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday for all of our best deals on Christmas gifts. However, many people have not heard of Giving Tuesday. It is the day after Cyber Monday that was started in 2012 to help encourage giving back to non-profits during the initial rush of holiday shopping.  This year, we have teamed up with the Giving Tuesday movement to help us raise funds for our organization.

The Giving Tuesday movement started just one year ago and serves as an opportunity for nonprofit organizations and other charitable efforts to connect with donors around the world through social media like Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and many others through the use of the hash tag #GivingTuesday. This simple statement helps connects hundreds of thousands of people. In some cases, large donors have seen a posted story and contributed financially to the organization. We have submitted a story as a way to help gain funds and awareness for Tri 4 Schools. Look for the hash tag on our Facebook page and Tweets to join our cause.   For more on the history of #GivingTuesday, check out the FAQ page.

Our cause this year for Giving Tuesday is to raise money for our scholarship fund for our athletes. We offer a scholarship to any student that qualifies for free or reduced lunch at their school. It is one of our goals to help all of those who want to participate in our events throughout the year. In 2013, we had 251 athletes on scholarship and we expect the number to grow next year. It would be unfortunate if we had to turn away any of our athletes who are excited about our events and helping their school’s fitness and health programs. Donate now at Tri 4 Schools online fundraising page. Join us on Tuesday on Facebook and Twitter as we race our way to the finish line of raising $2,900 for our scholarship fund. Let us help kids help their schools.

Thank you in advance for your donation and support of Tri 4 Schools.
