We’re grateful for the many ways our community supports our efforts, especially through our participating families.  Meet Katie Myers of COUNTRY Financial, who is offering a donation promotion in May to our families!

Katie Myers, Financial Representative at COUNTRY Financial, has made a commitment to personally donate $25 for every Tri 4 Schools supporter that meets with her for an insurance and financial review in the month of May! This is a great opportunity to work with a professional free of charge to make sure your family and assets are adequately protected while supporting Tri 4 Schools!

Katie and her husband, Shawn are Tri 4 Schools athlete parents. Their daughters, Claire (10) and Genevieve (8) have competed in several of our events and they are currently in the Exercise to Achievement program at their elementary school. Their  son, Reif (3) plans to participate in his first triathlon this summer.

We were able to sit down with Katie recently to learn more about her business and her passion for Tri 4 Schools.

Why do you support Tri 4 Schools?

I have supported Tri 4 Schools since the beginning and am in constant awe of what Katie Hensel and the Tri 4 Schools team is doing for our community. I am the daughter of public school educators and know how tight budgets can be especially for health and fitness programs. These events bring so much joy and confidence to the kids participating. I also love seeing the physical education teachers getting  involved and seeing their appreciation for the contributions to their programs.

I value health and fitness, but sadly it was not something that was not import to me until I was nearly 30 years old. I want my children to experience the personal growth and pride that comes from training and competition at a young age and make it part of their lifestyle as they mature. There are so many lessons to be learned from the sport of triathlon and I am elated that my children get to experience it so young.

What so you enjoy about your career as a Financial Representative?

There are many things that I enjoy about my career. I guess the biggest thing is that every day is different. In the span of a week I could be helping a young professional get an early start on their financial planning, a family prepare for their children’s’ future, a retired couple leave a legacy, and help a business to better serve their employees.  I am also very fortunate to work for a company that allows me to be creative in how I serve my clients. Each appointment is new opportunity to find the unique blend of services that will best aid my clients in reaching their goals.

What can someone expect when sitting down with you for an insurance and financial review?

Our meeting will last about 30 minutes. We will go over your goals, income, assets,  coverage options, and concerns. I will answer any questions you have, explain the strong points in your financial picture and talk about what may need to be addressed. These appointments are a time for me to learn about you and what I can do to best serve you. After our meeting I will prepare a quote and recommendations and be in contact with you in a day or two to discuss what your options are. If you are interested we will proceed with whatever process is necessary.

Katie’s May calendar will fill up quickly! Please contact her today to get your appointment and secure her donation to Tri 4 Schools!
