Greetings, blog friends!

We’re getting close to the first Tri 4 Schools race of the year, just six weeks from Saturday!  I hope you’ve taken advantage of this awesome weather for the start of your training.  I finally got some new running shoes and got a few good runs in with the jogging stroller and my dog!

As you know, Tri 4 Schools is a non-profit, and in order to make our triathlons 100% donations to the schools, we need to do a large amount of fundraising to cover our operational costs.  We hosted our first fundraiser of the year on March 16th at Pinnacle Health and Fitness in Fitchburg.  The fundraiser was sponsored by the Fundraising Fitness Community, an organization started by Susan Bozoki.  Susan is a fitness instructor and a huge philanthropist who organizes these events for a variety of causes.  She truly has a charitable heart, and we were so glad to be a part of her community.

The night consisted of a two hour block of cardio classes, ranging from hip hop dance, reggae, kickboxing, and Zumba!  I have to admit, I wasn’t able to make it the whole way through, it was TOUGH!  Major props to the eight people who made it from the beginning all the way to the end.  I’ve posted a few pictures, but check out our Facebook page for more.

Breaking out some sweet moves while sweating it out!

The night wouldn’t be complete without a little polka to “The Bud Song.” When you say Wisconsin, you’ve said it all!
