This week we’re checking in with Angie, our 2015 female Athlete of the Year.  Let’s see how she’s braving the cold and getting her training base for Ironman Wisconsin, and remember to follow her journey all year long using #IMforT4S.

I cannot believe it is already March!  Time flies and September will be here before I know it.

Training is going really well for me.  I started training with Coach Cindi and Madison Multisport right after the new year.  I am so thankful to have the opportunity to train with such a great coach and a fun group of people.  While I am a person who doesn’t mind training solo, I have really enjoyed the camaraderie at the team practices.  I try to practice with the group most weekends, as well as on Tuesday mornings. My training plan has been very manageable for me, and because of my later work hours, I am usually able to fit it all in before I go to work.  I can already tell that I am getting stronger and developing a good endurance and strength base in all three sports, and know that putting in the work largely indoors during these cold winter months will benefit me when spring comes.  I am also looking forward to racing in the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga on May 17th.  It looks to be a beautiful course, and will be a good test of my fitness level in preparation for Ironman Wisconsin.

I also can’t wait for spring to kick off our Tri 4 Schools events!  I am so excited to get this season underway, and my daughter is excited to participate in her first triathlon and mud run. I hope to see many of you out there!
